Pocket Tile Theory

★★★★☆ 4.2 Editor rating

Pocket Tile Theory looks almost too plain at first — a grid, a few colored tiles, one clear rule. Then around level fifteen it starts folding that rule back on itself and suddenly you're staring at the screen on your lunch break with a cold sandwich.

Each puzzle is a single self-contained idea, so there's no fluff between the good bits. The hint system is fair, nudging you toward the logic instead of just solving it for you. I appreciated that it never punished me for experimenting.

The clean look means it runs on basically anything and never distracts from the actual thinking. If you like puzzles that trust your intelligence, this is an easy recommendation.
