Lantern Hollow

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Lantern Hollow is a mood as much as a game. You wander a hand-drawn world with a lantern, coaxing light into dark corners and slowly piecing together what happened to the place. There's barely any text, but the environment tells the story if you pay attention.

The puzzles are woven into exploration rather than dropped in as walls. Most involve light, reflection, and timing, and none of them made me want to look up a guide. Tapping to move and swiping to interact feels natural, and the pacing never rushes you.

It's short — maybe four hours — but it's the good kind of short, the kind where nothing overstays its welcome. I finished it in two sittings and immediately wanted to show it to someone.
